ROW 80

Standard

Sorry I’ve been gone but computer problems have made getting anything done difficult. I did write 3000 words this past week. And computer or not I’m ready to hop back into the ROW80 and get back on track.

So here are my goals-

Writing

1000 words per day- it can be blog or WIP but I must write before I can get onto the web

edit 1 chapter of book two that has been looked over by my critique group.

read blogs daily- including blogger so that reading them stays fun and doesn’t become a chore.

Play on FB and twitter 3x a daily no more then 15min at a time.

Pintrest 3x per week.

Blog 3x per week.

Personal

Start diet from personal training (not looking forward to this)

Exercise 5 days per week.

Read one book for spiritual/personal growth

How is everyone else doing??

ROW80

Hello everyone!! I am done re-editing Phoenix child and finally coming up for air. I made myself schedule an appointment with the formatter so I would slack off too much, and I finished just in time 🙂

So I didn’t do much of anything but edit and work this week, which was important but everything else got put on hold.

So my goals for next week- get back into my routine.

Write 1000 words a day- no interwebs until I am done.

Scan blogs and read those that catch my eye- I like to do this daily so they don’t become overwhelming and chore and stay fun.

Write last lesson of my online class and have hubby look it over for advice and improvements.

Exercise daily- if I can’t make it to the gym then I want to do something at home even if it’s only 5 min of stretches.

Taking Baby Steps (thanks Myndi) to helping with meals. Hubby makes them and is tried so they tend to be tasty but not as healthy as they could be. So this week I am going to make beans and keep a vegetable tray stocked int eh fridge. If there is dip and cut veggies ready to go we will all snack from their, other wise we chose chips and cheesy things.

Okay I’m sure I could make this longer, but I’ll try not to over do it 🙂

How’s everyone else doing???

I must admit I haven’t gotten much of anything done- with my internet down I only have access at work so not only is my time limited but my work computer is so old that it crashes when going on facebook and such, and of course all of my links are on my laptop.

I only write 2 days this week. A kind friend read my book and pointed out some mistakes, which I expected mistakes, but there are more then I’m comfortable with so I’m re-reading it out loud and giving it another edit. I will admit to a significant amount of pouting – which lost me a day of work. But while I am fixing it the percentage of mistakes per words count is low enough that I still get a solid A. LOL!

I did work on my class, and only have one more lesson to go- plus I found a class that teaches how to teach an online class, which I might take.

My voodoo class started, so far I’m not overly impressed, but I’m hoping it will improve.

So for next week, my goal is to read, edit, and send my book to the formatter. And to remind myself that perfection isn’t the goal, but improvement always is.

ROW80 update

I didn’t do too bad this week.

5 out of 7 days I made my 1000 word count- not getting on the internet helps a lot. I’ll continue with this goal.

I did write a first lesson, but it’s weak. So for this week I’ll work on lesson 2 and see if I can make lesson 1 stronger.

I checked out a lot more then three review sites and sent in requests for 5 sites. I haven’t heard anything back yet. I hope this means they are busy and not rejecting my story. Ah the fragile ego of a writer. I will check out at least 3 more review sites this weeks and send requests into those who seem like a good fit.

I didn’t send anything to my critique because my poor critique partner is totally overwhelmed with work, classes, and having gotten sick. We won;t meet again until the end of the month so instead I’ll change my goal to making edits suggested by my critique partners on two previous chapters.

How is everyone else doing?

My first ROW80 check-in

Standard

Last week I signed up for ROW80 so of course my world got all crazy and I got nothing done. So this Sunday I’m here to list my goals for the week.

1- writing 1000 words per day. I can work on my WIP or write blogs, but no internet until I’ve written 1000 words.

2- I will write a first lesson for a Create Diversity in Your Writing class I’ve been thinking of organizing.

3- I will check out 3 review sites for submitting my book.

4- Send my next two chapters to my critique group.

5- Set up some more interviews or guest posts for my blog and for me to do.

I’m just starting with these as goals, if I do well I’ll add some more. 🙂
