Wild Target Stars Bill Nighy, Emily Blunt, Rupert Grint, Martin Freeman, and Rupert Everett.
Oh, did you need more? Really? That cast and you just didn’t run out an get it? Odd that. Well okay. Bill Nighy plays a hitman who is devoted to his mother and extremely anal retentive. Emily Blunt is his target, whom not only can he not kill, but winds up protecting. Rupert Everett is our bad guy, and of course he’s wonderful. He hires Martin Freeman to kill them both. Rupert Grint is an innocent bystander who get sucked into all this mess.
It’s hysterical in that sarcastic laid-back British way. I laughed a lot. This is a movie I could easily watch more then once.
For my fifth installment of Foreign Film I have a British TV show for you- I love British tele 🙂 so I’m sure you’ll be seeing a lot more of these. Last weekend hubby and I watched “People Like Us” a mock documentary. In true BBC fashion the humour is dry and sarcastic. This is an adult show more because it would bore kids then there is anything inappropriate in the show. The whole series is on two disks- BBC is all about leaving viewers wanting more. Hubby and I laughed a lot, and enjoying pointing at the TV and saying- hey that’s so and so from… this show has a lot of great people in it, such as Bill Nighy, David Tennant, Jessica Hynes, and Sarah Alexander.
I couldn’t find a trailer, but here is the IMDB page http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0214362/
