Foreign Film Friday

Standard

For my fifth installment of Foreign Film I have a British TV show for you- I love British tele 🙂 so I’m sure you’ll be seeing a lot more of these. Last weekend hubby and I watched “People Like Us” a mock documentary. In true BBC fashion the humour is dry and sarcastic. This is an adult show more because it would bore kids then there is anything inappropriate in the show. The whole series is on two disks- BBC is all about leaving viewers wanting more. Hubby and I laughed a lot, and enjoying pointing at the TV and saying- hey that’s so and so from… this show has a lot of great people in it, such as Bill Nighy, David Tennant, Jessica Hynes, and Sarah Alexander.

I couldn’t find a trailer, but here is the IMDB page http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0214362/

    • I haven’t seen Secret Diaries of a Call Girl yet- but someone else recommended it to me. Hubby and I love British shows, we watch a lot and I have to be careful not to use British slang when I’m writing and talking !

  1. Alicia – thanks for the heads up — I LOVE British comedy and British mysteries — glad to hear about another. I just ordered the Last Detective with Peter Davison…to join Morse, Dalgliesh, Insp. Lewis, Miss Marple and all the others. Nice post.
